DECODE Toolkit

Stop Treating Every Objection The Same

Customers don't always say exactly what they mean.

“I’m not interested.”

“It’s too expensive.”

“I need to think about it.”

“This sounds complicated.”

But the best sales conversations aren't about pressure; they follow a structure.

Once you understand that structure, the conversation stops feeling awkward and starts feeling natural.

DECODE Toolkit Card

Understand What’s Really Behind the Objection

The DECODE Toolkit is designed to help you move beyond the surface-level objection and think about what may actually be holding the customer back.

Each card helps you:

• recognize signals that can point to the real concern
• reframe how you think about the objection
• understand what the customer may need next

• choose questions or responses that help move the conversation forward

Instead of memorizing another collection of scripts, you learn how to read the objection, understand what it means and respond with purpose.

Four Core Objection Types

The DECODE system organizes objections into four core categories:

Money — concerns about price, cost or value
Need — uncertainty about relevance, urgency or whether a problem exists
Trust — hesitation around confidence, risk or the buying process
Partner — situations where another person is involved in the decision

The goal isn’t to force every objection into a box. It’s to give you a framework for thinking more clearly about what you’re hearing.

Built for Real Sales Conversations

Each card gives you a quick-reference breakdown of the objection, including what to listen for, how to shift your thinking and what your next move might be.

And when you want to go deeper, the QR code on the card takes you to an expanded explanation with more context, psychology and questions you can use to explore what’s really going on.

Use the cards to prepare before a sales conversation, review common objections with your team or keep them nearby as a reference while you build confidence handling objections in the moment.

Don’t Just Answer the Objection. DECODE It.

The better you understand what a customer is really telling you, the better equipped you are to help them move forward.
